Thinking of conceiving?

Starting a family can be a challenging process.  Focusing on diet, nutrition and eliminating bad habits can seem like a never-ending checklist!

If you’re in the process of conceiving, don’t let chance get in the way.  We’ve put together some easy tips that can help take away the stress that comes with trying to bring a new bub into the world.

Eating the right foods for fertility
Simple changes to your diet are beneficial, and can help balance your hormones.

For men, choosing the right foods to eat can prove crucial towards increasing your sperm count and improving your sperm’s movement – try foods with vitamin E (such as nuts, seeds and vegetable oils), vitamin C (in orange juice, tomatoes, grapefruit and broccoli) and folic acid (leafy greens, beans and bananas).

Switching to unprocessed foods and wholegrains is an easy way to make sure your plate is balanced and healthy.

It’s important to think about your ingrained food habits.  If your diet is full of carbonated, sugary drinks and is reliant on caffeine to maintain energy levels, it might be the sign you’ve needed to cut back on bad habits that aren’t doing your body (or your chances of conceiving!) any good.

Nutrition and supplementation
If you’re feeling stressed at the moment (whether that’s from work or busy schedules), then your sperm cells may be feeling it too.  Oxidative stress is a possible cause of male infertility and can be exacerbated by increased stress levels.

Research has shown that the active antioxidant form of CoQ10, Ubiquinol, can help sperm cells to function and divide normally.

Continued research has found that Ubiquinol has the ability to promote fertility in males while helping guard our sperm cells from environmental stress.  If you’re looking for a naturally occurring health supplement with proven benefits, Ubiquinol could be a solution for you and your partner.

Always read the label. Use only as directed. If symptoms persist, consult your healthcare practitioner.
