Fertility Society’s Annual Conference 2023

Kaneka participates in leading conference held by FSANZ

Kaneka Corporation attended the Fertility Society of Australia and New Zealand (FSANZ) Conference 2023, at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre on 3 – 6th June 2023.

Each year, the FSANZ holds an annual conference inviting hundreds of medical practitioners, doctors, nurses, specialists, and experts to connect, engage, share and discuss the latest cutting-edge research, technological advancements, medicines, and treatments for the ever-evolving space of assisted reproductive health and technology.

This year, the conference featured numerous sessions including one on reproductive diseases such as polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), another on the regulatory environment and the government’s role in supporting fertility health given the steadily declining birth rates in Australia.  Former Minister of Health and now Professor, The Honourable Greg Hunt conducted a session on how this will affect future fertility in Australia and his hopes for a ‘one-year national fertility plan’ which includes funding for important research.

Kaneka had the opportunity to exhibit at FSANZ this year and to connect with a range of doctors, medical representatives, specialists, nurses and researchers in attendance who were intrigued by the evidence-backed benefits of the naturally occurring antioxidant, ubiquinol, the biologically active form of CoQ10, and its role in fertility, especially in supporting male fertility.

Multiple studies have shown that ubiquinol supports improvement in oocyte quality by boosting mitochondrial health, as well as supporting semen and sperm health, sperm motility, sperm morphology and sperm density.

Awareness of ubiquinol at the conference ranged from those who had never heard about the myriad scientific studies that support the supplement’s role in supporting male fertility health, to others who were hyper-aware and who have been implementing ubiquinol for many years to male as part of an integrative treatment plan.

This year’s FSANZ conference was once again a key opportunity for the fertility medical community to gather to find out more about the incredible research and advancements in the field, including the growing body of evidence for nutraceuticals such as ubiquinol to support male fertility health.
