Ubiquinol for Women’s Health

A Multi-Modality Approach to Alleviating Monthly Symptoms

Many women experience a range of challenging symptoms throughout their reproductive years. While conventional treatments may provide relief for some, a multi-modality approach with targeted supplementation, diet and lifestyle interventions and therapies can bring meaningful relief for many.

Case report: A multi-modality strategy for symptom relief underscores Ubiquinol

A 2023 case report explored the effectiveness of Ubiquinol, alongside other strategies, for a 36-year-old woman experiencing a collection of symptoms each month, including low back pain, stiffness, swelling, and stress and overwhelm. These symptoms significantly impacted her quality of life.

The patient followed a structured treatment plan that included 100 mg Ubiquinol daily, alongside daily acupuncture, B-100 complex, 400 mg magnesium citrate twice daily, 1000 mg flaxseed oil twice daily and 1000 mg turmeric twice daily. Ten minutes of mindfulness meditation were also encouraged twice a day to reduce stress. In 12 weeks, the patient reported experiencing a reduction in symptoms and maintained these results for 32 weeks.

Ubiquinol – a missing key in women’s health

Ubiquinol plays a critical role in oxidative stress management and mitochondrial energy production, thereby reducing monthly symptoms common in women’s health in the following ways:
  • Supporting energy levels by maintaining mitochondrial energy production, reducing fatigue.
  • Reducing inflammation and supporting healthy body tissues by managing levels of oxidative stress, alleviating symptoms such as pain, stiffness and swelling.
  • Supporting the mitochondria of the brain cells to improve cognitive function and reduce symptoms such as feelings of stress and overwhelm.

Key takeaways on the uses of Ubiquinol in women’s health symptoms

For consumers and healthcare practitioners alike, two of the key takeaways of this case report include:
  • The importance of an individualised, muti-modality approach to complex clusters of monthly symptoms that may include treatments that have previously not been considered, such as strategic supplementation, acupuncture and mindfulness meditation.
  • Ubiquinol as a core component of a multi-modality treatment plan for mitochondrial health and women’s health symptoms, supported by over 100 clinical studies and 45+ years of research.
For healthcare practitioners, this case report demonstrates the effectiveness of a personalised, multi-modality treatment approach for women’s health symptom management that considers mitochondrial function with Ubiquinol, along with stress management techniques and addressing key nutrient deficiencies.
